My name is Evan Kuhn. I’m a software engineer living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I’ve been building software for more than 20 years, with experience spanning backend development, distributed systems, infrastructure, and platform engineering. Over the years I’ve worked on everything from financial analytics and high-throughput advertising systems to cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, observability, and capacity engineering.
I enjoy digging into how systems work, particularly around scalability, reliability, performance, and distributed systems. More recently, I’ve also been exploring AI and LLM-based applications, including building AI agents and learning how the pieces behind them fit together.
